Dear Gillon,

In regards to the AFL's recent consideration to include a VFL/AFL Museum at Etihad Stadium (or any other Venue/Location).
I strongly advocate for the inclusion of the VFA in any potential exhibit.

The Victorian Football Association enjoyed a proud, rich history stretching more than 120 years until its demise in 1996.

It served as the basis for VFL foundation clubs, and remained a strong competition, once their breakaway was complete, for almost a century that followed.

Several VFA champions are icons of the game, including Fred Cook (Port Melbourne), Jim "Frosty" Miller (Dandenong),
Bob Bonnett (Port Melbourne), and VFA president Alex Gillion, known as the pioneer of Sunday football.
The former four should also be considered for inclusion in the Australian Football Hall of Fame, for their contribution to the game.

There is still strong interest in the VFA and associated memorabilia, as can be seen on its Facebook page, and the contribution of the VFA to our wonderful game is surely deserved of recognition alongside that of the VFL/AFL.

Sincerely,

Shane Wilson

The Badloves have unfinished business.

The Badloves Band wowed the crowd at The Gov on Saturday 20 August alongside Taxiride, but were missing a vital part, frontman Michael Spiby.

Michael was struck down by illness and had to bow out of playing for the first time in sixteen years.
The Badloves would like to thank their fans for being so supportive and have scheduled a new show on Friday November 11.

The band’s new live album ‘Raw Honey’ is officially released next week, and 3 brand new songs will be performed for the first time at this show, alongside the hits everyone knows and loves!
To sweeten the already wonderful deal of seeing The Badloves in full force, exclusive to this show at The Gov, Michael Spiby will perform a 20 minute set featuring songs from his ARIA nominated hot album Ho’s Kitchen.

All original ticket holders have been offered free tickets to this new show and will receive a signed postcard on arrival, thanks to Michael and The Badloves - who are doing it for the fans.
Don’t miss out on this special event.
