Action description
August 21, 2017 will provide an extraordinary opportunity for partakers to look up at the sky and experience a rare moment. “The Great American Total Solar Eclipse” will mark the first time in 26 years that the celestial show will be visible from different points across North America.

A total solar eclipse is a spectacular natural event to witness. The Moon glides slowly in front of the Sun and, at just the right moment, in just the right place, the Moon completely covers the sun. In preparation of Eclipse Day, Astronomer and renowned educator Dean Regas will share his adventures traveling around the world in search of solar and lunar eclipses, transits, and other astronomical events. Make your own journey to the oldest observatory in the United States, the Cincinnati Observatory, to discover how you can experience the beauty and wonder of the universe for yourself.

Dean will be selling and signing his book "Facts From Space!" after the lecture, and will also lead viewing through the telescopes (weather permitting).

In collaboration with the Cincinnati Observatory. Space is limited for this free lecture. RSVP today:
